Welcome! My name is KiShawn Pritchett, but you can call me Coach Ki.
I help high school athletes develop the confidence, mindset, and resilience it takes to succeed in their sport, school, and life. This mindset isn't just something I studied; it’s something I had to struggle to learn my entire career.
I was named All-State as a junior in high school, but I missed my senior season and the first year of college due to injuries. By the time I stepped on the court again, I had already undergone three knee surgeries. I didn’t start the first 11 games of my redshirt freshman year. I kept showing up, kept working, and ended up starting every game for the rest of my college career.
I battled tendinitis, position changes, and the weight of leadership, eventually becoming a two-time team captain. Experienced on court success, being the second-leading 3-point shooter in the Atlantic 10 during my junior year. My journey ended not with a championship, but with a fourth knee surgery and a medical retirement, which forced me to forgo my senior year. Still, those years taught me how to lead, adapt, and stay mentally strong.
Off the court, I earned a certificate in Sport Social Work from the University of Michigan, became a certified life coach, and completed a virtual fellowship focused on gender equity and basketball development in Rwanda. My purpose now is to guide the next generation of athletes through the confidence, emotional, and resilience challenges that come with chasing greatness.
