Mental Wellness & Performance Support for Athletes
About Me
I’m KiShawn Pritchett, a former Division I basketball team captain and clinically trained sports social worker.
I specialize in supporting athletes at the intersection of mental health and performance, with a focus on anxiety, identity, and career transitions.
My work is informed by both clinical training and firsthand experience within competitive sport environments.
I support athletes navigating anxiety, identity shifts, and major transitions—such as injury, role changes, and life beyond sport—using clinically grounded, strength-based approaches

Who I Work With
I work with competitive athletes facing high-pressure moments or significant transitions in their athletic careers, including:
Injury or extended time away from sport
Role changes or uncertainty within a team
Performance anxiety and overthinking
Identity challenges tied to sport
Transitioning out of competitive athletics
This work is not about motivation or hype. It’s about helping athletes stay regulated, grounded, and clear when the stakes feel high.
How I Help
Athlete Transitions & Identity Support
Support for athletes navigating injury, role changes, career transitions, and identity beyond performance.
Performance-Related Anxiety & Regulation
Clinically informed tools to manage anxiety, pressure, and mental overload in competitive environments.
Teams & Organizations
Workshops and group sessions addressing mental load, identity, resilience, and transition support within sport systems.
Athletes often seek support for confidence issues that stem from injury, role changes, performance pressure, or identity uncertainty.
My Approach
My work blends clinical training, lived experience as a Division I athlete, and a strength-based lens.
I approach performance challenges with the understanding that anxiety, loss, and identity disruption are natural parts of competitive sport, not weaknesses to eliminate.
The focus is helping athletes develop awareness, emotional regulation, and clarity so they can move through challenges without losing themselves.
